Functional Fitness For Kids

  • KettleBears Class

    This program is for children ages 3-6* and requires an adult to be present for the duration of the class.**

    KettleBears incorporates functional fitness movements like jumping, running, climbing, crawling, into fun games your child can play at home too! Classes are 30 minutes and include a fun obstacle course or game to end our class.

    *Based on the child's level of maturity and stamina, the coach will determine promotion to KidFit™, which starts at age 6.

    **Adults are welcome to join the KettleBear Workout of the Day and get their daily dose of functional movement for FREE!

  • KidFit™ Class

    This program is for children ages 6-12 and does NOT required an adult to be present.*

    KidFit™ incorporates overall body awareness, functional fitness movements, meditation, mindfulness and fun homework assignments to promote health habits during their daily activities. Each class begins with a mindfulness game, warm up and skill of the day, followed by the KidFit™ workout of the day. Classes are 60 minutes and include basic nutrition information, i.e. macronutrients, hydration, and basic anatomy information, i.e. hamstring, quad, etc.

    *Adults are welcome to join the KidFit™ Workout of the Day and get their daily dose of functional movement for FREE!

  • OWLFit™ Class

    This program is for Outstanding Women Leaders, tweens and teens (girls only) ages 11-18. Adults are not required to stay.* OWLFit incorporates OWL the functional fitness programming from KidFit™ and adds a leadership and mental fitness program to develop a growth mindset, self-awareness, self-acceptance, self-authority foster a positive body image. Classes are 75 minutes and include mental and physical fitness homework assignments to incorporate into their daily routine and leadership quests to understand their inner leader.

    *Adults are welcome to stay for the KidFit™ Workout of the Day and get their daily dose of functional movement for FREE and soak up OWL the mental fitness knowledge!

Coach Katie

A college athlete (tennis), retired high school history teacher and QTown CrossFit gym owner in Illinois, and founder of the CrossFit Hoboken Kids Program in New Jersey (kids pictured right), I’m a child at heart whoo gives a hoot about Fun + Functional Fitness! My health and wellness journey includes a 60lb weight-loss in 2010 and overcoming food addict, a powerful mindfulness program (Positive Intelligence) and a neuroscience-based coaching program (Co-Active Training Institute) that supports my neurodiverse brain, creating fulfillment and balance in my life. My KidFit™ philosophy is FUN + Functional Fitness = Fulfillment and Joy in our daily lives.

  • OWL offers family packages for 3+ children living in the same household. Email katie@owlprofessionalcoaching.com for more information. Please include the number of children and which classes the will attend.

  • OWL consider offering additional classes for groups of 8 for any of the KidFit™ programs. Email katie@owlprofessionalcoaching.com for more information. Please include which program, how many kids total, and preferred location.

  • OWL teachers receive a 15% discount (cannot be combined with any other offer).
